The online phase culminated in the shortlisting of the 13 most promising ventures for the next phase – Inflection. The primary focus of this week-long phase will be to provide these startups with exposure and readiness for investment.
BITS Pilani’s Conquest, which is India’s largest student-run startup accelerator, recently concluded the online phase of its 19th edition, marking a significant milestone in the journey of 22 startups selected from a pool of over 2000 applicants.
Over the past 6-weeks, these early-stage ventures were mentored one-on-one by CXOs of top organizations, including Razorpay, CarDekho Group, and ShareChat, among others. During these sessions, the founders could directly interact with and share their pain points with the domain experts. Knowledge sessions were another major highlight of the phase. These revolved around key areas such as pitching, led by Chetan Bhatia of Honest Create, seed funding by Kailash Nath of Chiratae Ventures, and an AMA session with Amit Agarwal of NoBroker.

During this offline phase, the startups will be flying to Bangalore and will have the opportunity to interact with prominent figures of the ecosystem through a number of investment workshops, unicorn office visits, and networking dinners with angel investors. This uniquely-curated week is aimed at refining the business acumen and pitching skills of the startups, preparing them for Demo Day, the grand culmination of Conquest ’23.
Scheduled to be held at The LaLiT Ashok Bangalore on August 13, Demo Day will witness India’s best startups pitch their businesses in a Shark Tank-style format before a distinguished audience comprising VCs, investors, mentors, and media houses. Additionally, the event will also feature networking breaks, keynote addresses, and panel discussions led by prominent figures including Abhishek Goyal (Tracxn), Pratham Mittal (Masters Union), and Sameer Brij Verma (MD, Nexus Venture Partners), among others.
