iQOO Z7 Pro to launch in India on August 31, expected to cost under Rs 30,000

iQOO has announced that its next smartphone, the iQOO Z7 Pro, will launch in India on August 31. First teased last month, the phone is said to feature a curved display. While other key features are yet to be revealed by the company, some have already surfaced online. Tipster Mukul Sharma said on X (formerly Twitter) that the phone packs MediaTek’s Dimensity 7200 SoC. iQOO claims that their latest phone is designed for Gen Z customers.

The official poster also reveals a hole-punch cutout on the display for the selfie camera. Another leakster, Paras (X/ @passionategeekz) recently claimed that the iQOO Z7 Pro would ship with Android 13 OS-based FunTouch out of the box. The smartphone may feature a 6.78-inch curved AMOLED display with 1080 x 2400 pixels resolution and a 120Hz refresh rate. The top variant may include 12GB of RAM and 256GB of internal storage. There could be one more variant with 8GB of RAM.

Since most iQOO smartphones are performance-focused, cameras are not the biggest priority. The iQOO Z7 Pro may include a 64-megapixel primary camera with support for optical image stabilisation (OIS) and a 2-megapixel camera. The front panel may include a 16-megapixel selfie camera sensor. Lastly, the upcoming iQOO Z7 Pro may pack a 4,600mAh battery with 66W fast charging.

Going by the specifications, it is likely that the iQOO Z7 Pro might be priced around Rs 25,000. The top variant may stretch to Rs 30,000. The iQOO Z7 Pro 5G follows the iQOO Neo 7 Pro launched in July and iQOO Z7s 5G in May.

It also means that the iQOO Z7 Pro 5G will have considerable upgrades over the regular iQOO Z7s 5G.

To recap, the iQOO Z7s features a 6.38-inch Full-HD+ AMOLED display with up to a 90Hz refresh rate, 360Hz touch sampling rate, and a peak brightness of 1300nits. The display is protected by Schott Xensation Glass. The screen on the regular iQOO Z7s also includes a punch-hole cutout, and the rear cameras are arranged in a standard rectangular module. The camera system on the iQOO Z7s comprises a 64-megapixel primary ISOCELL GW3 sensor with an f/1.79 aperture and a 2-megapixel depth sensor with an f/2.4 aperture. The power draws power from a Qualcomm Snapdragon 695 5G SoC and a 4,500mAh battery. The phone supports 44W wired Flash Charging.
