Every year, thousands of candidates seek to take the exam to become IAS, IFS, and IPS. Only a few number of them succeed in the most competitive exam, which consists of three parts: preliminary exam, main exam, and interview. Today we will talk about IPS Trupati Bhatt, who rejected 16 government job offers for UPSC.
IPS Trupti Bhatt hails from Almora. She is the eldest of four siblings and was born to a teachers’ family. She did most of her schooling at Beersheba School and went to Kendriya Vidyalaya to pursue class 12. After completing high school, she did a BTech from Pantnagar University.

Trupti Bhatt’s transformational journey reached a turning point in the ninth grade when she had the honour of meeting Dr. APJ Abdul Kalam, the former president of India, in person. She received a handwritten letter from Dr. Kalam, who is renowned for his humility and vision, that would forever change the direction of her life. This letter gave Trupti the inspiration she needed to start her UPSC preparation process with unflinching determination.
IPS Trupti Bhatt has been the gold medal winner of national level 16 and 14 km marathon and state-level badminton competitions. Along with this, she is also proficient in Taekwondo and Karate.
Trupti Bhatt became an IPS officer in her first attempt itself and secured 165th rank in the UPSC Civil Services Examination 2013.
